Wendy Cuthbert
Clinical Psychologist.
Wendy is a clinical psychologist registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board, and is a member of the NZ College of Clinical Psychologists (NZCCP). She has advanced training in Eye Movement and Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR) and is an accredited EMDR practitioner and registered member of EMDRNZ. She takes a trauma-informed approach, supporting people to heal and recover from unresolved psychological trauma. She uses an integrative approach, combining EMDR and other evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS). Wendy provides individual therapy to adults and professional supervision for those with oversight from a professional body or employer.
She has experience working with a range of emotional and psychological problems such as:

Wendy studied at Te Herenga Waka /Victoria University, where she graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science (Distinction). While studying she developed a particular interest in the role of memory and how it shapes our psychological and emotional wellbeing. She has a background working as a clinical psychologist in community mental health settings such as CAMHS and specialist services such as the Maternal Mental Health Service and the Pain Management Service in Wellington.
